Feelings

So today unbeknowst to me (till earlier this evening) It is one of my dear friends birthday. I had so much energy today and I was SO happy. I couldn't figure it out. but you know those times where you figure it out later and you're SO grateful. That was me today. I got on facebook probably about six and My friends grandma had posted "
"Just taking a moment on this April 20, 2011 to remember Jordan Rodrick Yates on his 21st birthday. All who knew him loved him....and still do."
To me it had explained my whole day. I had someone with me, leading me, teaching me. I didn't know it. For me today was a day where heaven was so close and it felt SO nice. My spirit definitely got reaqquanted and had a party today with my dear friend Jordan. He was one of the bestest friend/example/giver/support/confident/advice giver/Christ like example I could have ever asked for.

I know I only knew him for 5 ish months but he changed my perspective on life SO much! He was definitely one of the greatest things that has ever happened in my life. I know I don't say how grateful I am often enough. But he was everything I needed when i had him and when he was gone. He was such a friend.
This quote from conference was a great one who totally explained his presence in my life. “Today while listening to general conference, I was intrigued by the words of (President) Dieter F. Uchtdorf when he said ‘Some members in this church would rather push a handcart hundreds of miles, than talk to their friends about the gospel.’ As I thought about this I laughed a little bit, but the reality is that there are some members who would rather do this. But why? We have the 'Good news' of the Savior! This gospel is something that has changed our lives and has the ability to change the life of every individual we know. What joy would it bring to us, to give each person we knew a $100 bill. We would love to see the reaction on their faces, and we would be stunned if they were to turn us down. We have in our possession something that is above any earthly amount of money. So I ask again, Why not share this with everyone we know?” — Elder Bevan

and also these scriptures http://lds.org/scriptures/bofm/moro/7.44-48?lang=eng#44

Here are a couple of quotes from conference I really enjoyed.

• "I fear texts are being sent right now saying, ‘He’s been talking for 10 minutes, and still no aviation analogy!’" – President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

• "Use your hands to text and blog the gospel message!" – (President) Uchtdorf

• "Preach the gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." – (President) Uchtdorf” — Mormon Soprano

I love that heaven is SO close and that people are looking out for us and we can be example to those around us and share the gospel with them. I know the Lord loves us and gives us choice opportunities.

a case of LOGs

so today in chemistry were working on pH conversions and stuff. So the teacher is lending his calculator to this one girl and he says, "now press the LOG button" she says "which one's the LOG button" he says, "LOG."
It made me laugh SO hard. so yeah. I guess that is what made me laugh today :-)

Schlafen

So yesterday I went to seminary early in the morning. Which I loved. Then I came back to the Patrick Henry and chilled. So later in the afternoon I was putting Z-nut to bed. I had figured she mimicked the breath patterns so if you put yourself in a mimicking sleep mindset she would fall to sleep. So naturally I mimick sleeping and I'm awake for a bit. A while later the phone rings right? And I knock it off the table and on the floor and I realize, "wait, I'm holding something" and I look down and I had fallen asleep with this cute baby. :-) And she was schlafen now. :-) So I put her in her bin and went to work in the yard. But that moment just made me happy.

Isn't she just SO cute?

Speaking of seminary

Last week or the week before we watched this video it hold so many reactions. It's so cute! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hi8ZrfeRbU&feature=related. Oh man! To think people got this on tapes it really does have every about "from the mouth of babes" in it.

dont look at the camera: pretend it's not there

So today I went to seminary in Virginia. Yeah the 2 hour time difference and it's 6:30 in the morning. what was I thinking? Well I love seminary, church, friends and feeling peace. I also love the feel of early morning e.g., birds singing, slight breeze, chilled air, the crisp no one's awake feel. Although I did see the same man running in a bright green jacket this morning going, and coming from seminary. GO HIM! He even said hello, both times. Well I got to seminary and one of my friends is in a film class so she had to film class. it was interesting. They have a seminary room in the meeting house which was interesting. So I guess they meet in the chapel but the girl said we couldn't record in the chapel so we went to the classroom. So the camera is set up and her sister comes in and is saying how she's a senior and can do whatever she wants and how she doesn't have to go to school in may then the sister who's recording says "the camera is ____ (a synonym for recording)" I start laughing because she was saying like the funniest things... The girl next to her says "wait you mean it's been recording the whole time?" and she says, "yeah." Oh man, I laughed so hard! It was the funniest thing ever, and no one wanted to participate because anytime you stood up in the front the camera was staring straight at you from the back of the room. And so she would always say, "don't look at the camera" or, "pretend it's not there." But here sister and the girl sitting next to her kept talking and so the girl went back and asked them to be quiet so the tape could hear the class, and then the sister whispered really loud, "sorry" to the camera and the girl sat back down. The the sister dropped something and stood up and looked through the camera and said sorry into it in a comedic way. I love these girls they are great!

Seminary was great too! We talked about Doctrine and Covenants 136. The saints moving to Utah, and Brigham young receiving his first revelation after being prophet. We talked about the Mormon Battalion, which was news to me. I love seminary! It's so much fun. Even when you're really tired and your barely awake but you're trying so hard to be there.

Peace

I love peaceful things. for me these include wind/thunder/rain. The sound of trees (like the leaf movement), flowing water, naturely (it's a made up word) things. I learned I like to be by myself most of the time. I get so wound up during the day that I just need space when I get home. Sometimes that isn't easy to come by, but when no one in my house is stressed (.01% of ever) it's so nice.

I also love the piano (quit when I was like 9) and the Cello (never practiced and took classes when I was 11-12ish). But I love them! They are beautiful. I definitely can feel the spirit in music. It calms me down.

I decided even though I can't sing/dance/act well enough to be on Young Ambassadors at BYU, I can be on the tech crew and you get to travel with them. I watched the 40th reunion thing they did. It was so amazing!

Senses

There are so many things to be grateful for. I am easily amused so to sense simple things around me. For Instance the last two days was General Conference. This is easily the one of best weekends of the year. So many great messages, stories, inspiration, hope, encouragement, love, service. I cannot possibly limit 8 hours (10 if you include the General Young Women's Broadcast) to one talk. The spirit and ability to think and feel so many things is just incredible. I am sure grateful for these senses, and other thing that make me me.

I love seeing and feeling inspired by stories in between conferences. For instance there is a super neat story about a program/game http://www.byutv.org/watch/2164-101.

I love using my hands to help people. I love making things. I love learning new skills to make things. So I almost finished a blanket I started at least a month ago. But I have also finished like 3+ blankets in the last month. I love giving. For me that's how I can express myself to other. I put my life and love into the things I make.
